Announcement! Food Safety Talk will be recording live at International Association for Food Protection in New Orleans, LA. The recording will be in Room 231 Ernest Morial Convention Center. All listeners who will be at the meeting or in town are welcome.
The guys started the episode with a bit of coffee safety talk and then talk through independent restaurants, there's the requisite Canadian content (and it's Tim Hortons related). Ben brings Don up to speed with what's happening in the World Cup (and Norwegian rowing). Don and Ben go into a deep dive on food safety inspections at Delaney Hall in New Jersey and some investigative journalism related to that facility. They talk about how inspections work, what risk factors seem to matter the most related to the literature. The guys go into gas station food safety, school share tables and oyster risks.
